Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children from toddlers to preschool age.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among students.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support ongoing development through regular updates and parent meetings.
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Oversee classroom management duties including organization of materials, adherence to health and safety standards, and maintaining compliance with childcare regulations.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, with a strong background in early childhood education principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, special education practices, early intervention methods, and literacy education strategies.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, standardized testing procedures, tutoring techniques, and teaching physical education is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Valid certification or credential in early childhood education or related field; prior preschool experience is essential.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
