Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy, math, and physical education.
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports behavioral management and child welfare, ensuring each child's emotional and social needs are met.
- Lead daily classroom activities for preschoolers, encouraging curiosity, exploration, and active learning through engaging instructional techniques.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining compliance with childcare regulations and standards for daycare and private school settings.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to promote effective classroom management and high-quality childcare.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and lesson planning for young learners.
- Prior classroom management experience with preschool-aged children, including behavior management strategies.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to early intervention and special education needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
