Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. In this role, you will lead early childhood education initiatives, develop creative curricula, and support the social-emotional growth of children in your care. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay a strong foundation for children’s lifelong learning journey, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them. Responsibilities

  • Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for preschool-aged children.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, when applicable.
  • Design engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development, early intervention strategies, and social-emotional learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address concerns, and support their welfare through regular updates and parent meetings.
  • Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and implementing individualized plans aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments (including standardized testing), and classroom activities to ensure compliance with educational standards.
  • Oversee classroom management duties such as organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education trends, curriculum development, and childcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior preschool experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development including literacy education, math instruction, physical education.
  • Experience managing classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies tailored for young learners.
  • Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety standards, and best practices in childcare settings.
