Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Title: Preschool Lead Teacher for the 2026/27 School Year

Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Pay Range: $15.15 – $18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Position Summary: The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans in a play-based setting. This role includes leading a classroom, guiding children’s learning through hands-on activities, and maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement play-based, hands-on curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices
• Lead daily classroom activities, including circle time, centers, outdoor play, and transitions
• Foster a positive, nurturing environment that supports each child’s development
• Observe and document children’s progress and communicate with families as needed
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Supervise and support classroom aide
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and health regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid fingerprint clearance card
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with preschool-aged children

Preferred Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) college credits or degree
• Previous experience as a Lead Teacher in a preschool setting
