Our center is rooted in Christian values, and we strive to create a loving, Christ-centered atmosphere where children learn not only academic skills, but also kindness, respect, compassion, and faith-based character principles. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development and your commitment to modeling Christian values will help create a positive foundation for each child’s learning journey, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Duties

  • Lead lessons that are aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and age-appropriate Christian teachings such as Bible stories and character development.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, social skills, and Christ-centered values among preschoolers.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques while modeling kindness, patience, and respect rooted in Christian principles.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs, supporting academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth.
  • Oversee classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment conducive to learning.
  • Incorporate curriculum development practices that support childhood development milestones and foster a love of learning grounded in strong moral character.
  • Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing mentorship in classroom management, lesson planning, child welfare best practices, and faith-based leadership.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and standards for childcare centers and private schools while upholding the mission and values of our faith-based program.
  • Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in areas such as literacy education, behavior management, early childhood development, and faith-integrated teaching practices to enhance effectiveness.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings.
  • Classroom management experience that showcases the ability to create an inclusive environment supporting diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention practices to support children with special needs or developmental delays.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Prior daycare experience preferred; familiarity with toddler care is a plus.
