Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies.
- Assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing; tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs including special education and early intervention programs.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives.
- Supervise classroom assistants and interns, providing mentorship and guidance on curriculum development and classroom management techniques.
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies to ensure a secure learning environment.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Proven experience in curriculum development across multiple disciplines such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior management techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Experience in working within private school or daycare settings preferred.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing results and tutoring strategies when necessary.
- Familiarity with classroom experience in early childhood education environments; knowledge of childcare regulations is a plus. Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
