Preschool Lead Teacher / 7 Week Summer Program

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and social skills while addressing the diverse needs of young learners and implementing the elements and philosophy of Play-Based Learning.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Utilize various teaching methods, including hands-on activities, to enhance learning experiences in literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting respect and cooperation among students.
  • Assess student progress through consistent observation and provide feedback to parents regarding academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Mentor and guide students in their personal development and social skills.
  • Maintain an organized classroom environment that promotes learning and social development the Play-Based Learning.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with Play-Based Learning or other progressive educational philosophies is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team while also demonstrating independence in the classroom setting.
