Inclusive childcare provider looking for Lead Teacher/Group Supervisor to work in small, multi-age childcare center. Desirable work schedule of M-F 8:00-3:30

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This role involves overseeing classroom activities, implementing curriculum, and ensuring that each child receives the support they need for their growth and development. The Lead Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive ECE experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
  • Create lesson plans that align with educational standards and foster literacy, math, and physical education skills.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children.
  • Provide individualized support to children with a variety needs through early intervention strategies coached by outside supports.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills among students.
  • Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience within the school community.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.

Job Qualifications:

A Lead Teacher/Group Supervisor must have one of the following qualifications:

1. bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.

2. An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education or the human services field and 1 year experience with children.

3. An associates degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education or the human services field and 2 years experience with children.

4. An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years experience with children.

Clearances/Other requirements:

· Physical and TB test

· Two written, non-family references

· Criminal background check

· Child abuse clearance

· FBI fingerprint clearance

· State police background check

· NSOR clearance

· Verification of education, childcare experience, and training

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
