Duties

  • Step into preschool classrooms to deliver seamless instruction in the absence of regular teachers, maintaining continuity in curriculum and classroom routines
  • Implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum development standards, including literacy education, math activities, and social-emotional learning
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills
  • Support children with diverse needs, including working with students with autism or those requiring special education accommodations
  • Communicate clearly with staff and parents about daily activities, student progress, and any behavioral concerns
  • Assist with classroom setup, organization of educational materials, and maintaining a safe, clean environment

Experience

  • Prior experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood education settings is preferred
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities for early learners
  • Experience managing classroom behavior and applying effective classroom management strategies
  • Knowledge of working with children with special needs or those requiring individualized support
  • Background in childcare or tutoring roles that involve working closely with children to foster literacy, numeracy (math), and social skills
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and students
  • Previous experience in private schools or Montessori environments is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
