Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and physical education while ensuring the overall well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes early childhood development.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical education activities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement strategies to encourage appropriate behavior.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments, including standardized testing where applicable.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the learning experience through shared resources and strategies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
