Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods, including Montessori principles.
  • Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention.
  • Engage in regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational program and share best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends.
  • Must have 12 ECE units. OR 6 Units completed and 6 units in progress.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
  • Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is highly desirable.
  • Experience in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing practices as they relate to early childhood education.
  • Previous experience in private schools or tutoring environments is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
