Preschool Teacher

Position Summary

We are seeking a flexible, dependable, and nurturing Floater Teacher to join our team. The Floater provides classroom coverage across multiple age groups — from infants to preschool — ensuring a safe, supportive, and educational environment. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage during teacher breaks, absences, or planning periods
• Assist in implementing daily routines and lesson plans in multiple classrooms
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment
• Supervise and engage children in developmentally appropriate activities
• Support transitions such as arrivals, meals, naps, and outdoor play
• Follow established classroom routines to ensure continuity for children
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
• Prior experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting preferred
• Ability to work with multiple age groups and adjust quickly to classroom needs
• Knowledge of child development and positive behavior guidance strategies
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must be dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and meet the physical demands of working with children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.50 per hour
