Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
As a Preschool Teacher, you will ignite a passion for learning in young minds while fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the educational experiences of children aged 3 to 5 years, guiding them through their early developmental stages. You will implement engaging lesson plans utilizing the Frog Street Curriculum that promote literacy, math, and physical education while ensuring each child feels valued and supported. What you’ll do

• Develop and implement creative and age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and social interaction.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among students.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support each child's growth and development.
• Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that promotes learning through play and discovery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Basic qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic

Preferred qualifications

• Background in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education and math concepts.
• Experience in preschool or licensed daycare environments, including knowledge of DCFS standards
• Expertise in childhood development principles and practices related to 3-5 year olds

Pay: $18.25 - $21.00 per hour
