Preschool Teacher

Children’s Lighthouse is looking for a warm, organized, and creative Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners. The Preschool Teacher introduces early academic concepts, supports social development, and creates a positive learning environment where children feel safe and confident.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement engaging lessons that support early literacy, math, art, and science skills.
• Maintain a structured, encouraging, and child-friendly classroom.
• Guide children during group time, learning centers, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Observe each child’s progress and provide support as needed.
• Promote positive behavior and help children build independence and social skills.
• Communicate with families about classroom activities and child updates.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and aligned with health and safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with teammates and assist other classrooms when needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with preschool-aged children is helpful.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, patient attitude.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage a lively classroom.
• Must meet all state licensing requirements (training, background check, etc.).

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 31.0 – 40.0 per week
