Job Overview
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teachers specializing in Preschool and/or Two's who want join our team. The ideal candidates will be an EEC certified teacher, have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5 years. The Early Childhood Teacher will work closely with families to support each child's growth and learning journey.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress through TS Gold and observational methods.
- Provide individualized support to children, including behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development, milestones, and any concerns regarding child welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, including documentation of activities and assessments using Brightwheel.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Participate in monthly evening Staff Meetings (typically the 3rd Thursday of the month)
- Participate in some center-wide events throughout the year (Ice Cream social, Movie-Night, Art Gala, Date Nights, etc.)
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Familiarity with care practices and childhood development theories specific to infants, toddlers, or preschool is required for teaching assignments within those age groups respectively.
- Experience in private school settings is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering a caring and responsive environment that addresses the needs of individual children in your care.
Compensation
- Starting salary is dependent on one's level of education
- If offered a permanent position after a 90 day probation period, the offer will be based off of level of performance during that 90 day period within a salary range.
- The top of the range is the *maximum* one can earn at that level of education. The only raises you can earn once you reach the top of the range for your level of education occur at 2 year, 5 year, and 10 year anniversary of employment, or if the pay scales are amended.
- High-School Diploma/GED with a 3 credit college course in Child Growth & Development and 9 months of experience- $21 (range $21-25)
- 2-Year Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) with teacher certification- $24 (range $24-$26)
- 4-Year Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) with teacher certification- $26 (range $26-$29)
