Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team and help foster the early development and learning of young children. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting positive behaviors, and collaborating with parents to support each child's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Instruction:

• Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth in young children
• Organize daily activities that stimulate learning through play, music, art, stories, and hands-on experiences
• Incorporate diverse learning styles to cater to individual needs and abilities of children

Classroom Management:

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
• Use positive reinforcement to guide behavior and maintain a supportive atmosphere
• Establish clear routines and expectations to help children feel secure and confident

Social and Emotional Development:

• Foster an environment of respect, kindness, and cooperation
• Support children in building positive relationships with peers and teachers
• Assist children in resolving conflicts and promoting empathy and self-regulation skills

Health and Safety:

• Ensure the classroom and outdoor areas of the school premises are safe and clean
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations to ensure the well-being of the children
• Monitor children's health and report any concerns to parents and school administration

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and school administrators to enhance the learning environment
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education best practices

Parental Communication:

• Establish and maintain a strong line of communication with parents to discuss their child’s progress, needs, and any concerns
• Encourage parental involvement through volunteer opportunities, events, and workshops

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (required)
• Teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (preferred)

Experience:

• Previous experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood educational practices

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
• Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment
• Organizational skills and ability to manage a classroom effectively
• Basic understanding of child health and safety regulations
• Ability to handle and care young children from the age of 6+ months

Working Conditions:

• Full-time in person at the school premises
• Being available on occasional evenings or weekends for parent meetings or school events
• Physical requirements include the ability to sit on the floor, engage in activities with young children and being high on energy
