Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant, toddler and Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula, fostering social and emotional development, and supporting early learning milestones. Candidates should have a strong background in childhood development and classroom management, with a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive space for all students.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with preschool standards and curriculum goals, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to schedules
- Assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing; adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Support children’s emotional well-being by applying behavior management techniques and fostering positive relationships
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and lesson plans
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, child welfare policies, and licensing requirements
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and early intervention strategies
- Experience with curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Proven classroom management skills to create an organized and nurturing learning environment
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and developmental stages
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and children
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; private school experience is a plus
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools for early learners
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Ability to incorporate inclusive practices supporting child welfare and special needs students
- Passion for early childhood education with a focus on fostering curiosity, independence, and social skills
