Job Summary

St. John High School invites applications from qualified and trained Pre-Primary Teachers to deliver high-quality Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in line with NEP 2020 guidelines. The teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and joyful learning environment and support the holistic development of young learners.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

• Plan and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate ECCE curriculum
• Foster early language, numeracy, motor, social, and emotional skills
• Use stories, rhymes, music, art, games, and hands-on activities
• Observe, assess, and maintain records of children’s progress

Classroom Environment

• Maintain a child-centric, inclusive, and safe classroom
• Establish positive routines and discipline practices
• Support children’s emotional and social development

Child Safety & Care

• Ensure children’s health, hygiene, safety, and supervision
• Follow child protection and school safety policies

Parent & School Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with parents
• Participate in PTMs, school events, and celebrations
• Collaborate with colleagues, helpers, and coordinators

Professional Responsibilities

• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and workshops
• Uphold the values, discipline, and ethos of St. John High School
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Mandatory Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCEd) – Mandatory

(Recognized by a competent authority)

• Graduation preferred

Candidates without ECCEd qualification will not be considered.Experience

• Pre-primary teaching experience preferred
• Freshers with mandatory ECCEd qualification may apply
