Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher for our Head Start classroom in Mandan, ND. This role is pivotal in fostering an enriching learning environment for young children while engaging families in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in implementing our mission to promote holistic child development. Thrive in a professional work environment with excellent coaching staff!

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of a high-quality early childhood curriculum.
• Foster a positive school culture that encourages family involvement.
• Work closely with the teacher assistant to ensure an effective teaching team.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies for early intervention when needed.
• Have a strong understanding of child development principles and early intervention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of safety and care.
• Collaborate with families to support their children's education and well-being.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse families.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with children aged 3 to 5 in preschool or daycare settings.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies.
• Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
• Strong communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.

Requirements

Requires an associate, baccalaureate degree, or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field with experience teaching preschool-age children. Valid class D driver's license.

• Associate degree: $28.00/hour ($43K/annually)
• Bachelor degree: $32.75/hour ($53K annually)
