Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods when applicable
  • Facilitate age-appropriate lessons in literacy, math, physical education, and social skills to promote holistic development
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful environment
  • Support children with special needs by integrating inclusive practices and collaborating with specialists in early intervention and special education
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain detailed records of each child's growth, attendance, and developmental milestones in compliance with childcare regulations
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, challenges, and achievements

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, including Montessori philosophies and early childhood education best practices
  • Proficiency in teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and tutoring strategies for young learners
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment
