Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate early intervention strategies, Montessori methods, and standard curriculum standards.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among preschool students.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining a positive behavior management approach.
- Support children’s physical development through teaching physical education activities and promoting healthy habits.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, developmental milestones, and behavioral observations.
- Incorporate literacy education techniques to foster early reading skills and language development in young learners.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior management plans, and assessments aligned with childhood development benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; familiarity with toddler care is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities tailored for preschoolers.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention practices, and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom environment confidently while fostering a safe and inclusive space for all students.
