Preschool Teacher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
  • Engage with children through hands-on activities that support early childhood development, including toddler care and preschool experiences.
  • Assess individual student progress regularly using standardized testing methods and tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate student progress, behavioral insights, and ways to support learning at home.
  • Manage classroom routines effectively to foster a structured yet flexible environment conducive to learning and child welfare.
  • Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student assessments, behavior management strategies, and classroom activities.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods is preferred.
  • Experience with classroom experience involving standardized testing or tutoring is advantageous.
  • Certification or training in early intervention or special education is a plus.
