Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily functions of a class of children with a co-teacher.
• Must be able to work as a team and communicate well.
• Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Plans with the Education Coach and implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials.
• Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration and decision-making by the children.
• Maintains the Primrose Schools professional attitude and work behavior.
• Assists in other capacities as determined by the Director.
• Observes all rules and regulations of Primrose Schools and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the employee handbook.

Upon Employment: Candidates must meet all state requirements for classroom teaching positions, must maintain state in-service requirements, and must be physically able to interact with children between the ages of 18 months to 3 years of age on a day to day basis (stoop and bend, lift up to 30 pounds, etc.). Certifications in Child/Infant CPR and First Aid, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good computer skills required.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
