Hilltop Christian School is a small Christian school dedicated to providing a nurturing, faith-centered environment where young children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our approach to learning centers on personal and interactive instruction in a play-based environment.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for God and others. This individual will foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff while integrating Christian principles into daily instruction and activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate units, lessons, and activities that support early childhood development
• Create a warm, welcoming, and Christ-centered classroom environment
• Teach foundational academic skills through hands-on learning, play, and exploration
• Monitor and assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Affirm and support the school’s statement of faith and model Christ-centered character that reflects Christian integrity, humility, and service
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Experience working with preschool-aged children
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small school community
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
