Preschool Teacher

Essential Job Functions

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure their health and safety.
• Foster children's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress.
• Complete daily reports, attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with licensing regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
• Promote positive behavior using developmentally appropriate guidance techniques.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
• Work collaboratively with administrators and fellow teachers.
• Follow all Bright Minds Academy policies, Georgia DECAL regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Ensure confidentiality of all children and family information.
• Assist during meals, rest time, playground supervision, and special activities.
• Report any suspected child abuse or neglect according to state law.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Early childhood education: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• CDA OR Higher E.C.E. (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Required)

• Confidential (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Covington, GA 30016 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Covington, GA 30016: Relocate before starting work (Required)
