Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth through effective behavior management strategies.
- Conduct classroom activities focused on toddler care, early intervention, and special education needs to ensure all children receive personalized support.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including transitions, meal times, nap schedules, and play activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and promote respectful interactions among children.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers through regular communication about each child's progress, milestones, and any additional support required.
- Maintain accurate records of developmental assessments, standardized testing results, and lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience with children aged 2-3 years old in daycare or preschool settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including literacy education, math concepts, and behavior management techniques.
- Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to early learners using Montessori or similar educational philosophies.
- Ability to implement classroom management strategies that foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
- Experience working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
