Preschool Teacher Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons focused on literacy, math, and social skills.
  • Good with Social Media
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
  • Help create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that caters to the developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Engage children in activities that promote early childhood education principles such as Montessori or other curriculum models.
  • Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
  • Assist with daily routines including snack time, nap time, potty training, and classroom transitions.
  • Support classroom organization by preparing materials for lessons and maintaining educational supplies.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
  • Knowledge of special education strategies and working with children with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children.
  • Classroom management expertise to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for early learners.
