Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate early intervention strategies, Montessori principles, and standards for preschool education.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques, ensuring each child's safety and well-being.
- Support toddler care routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times, while promoting independence and self-care skills.
- Use assessment tools such as standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor progress in literacy education, math skills, and physical education.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and strategies for supporting learning at home.
- Incorporate inclusive practices for children with special education needs or those requiring additional support in early intervention programs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental assessments, lesson plans, and child welfare documentation in compliance with licensing standards.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience with toddler care is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience developing curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and Montessori methods.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children requiring additional support or early intervention services.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Proven ability to manage a classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques and lesson planning.
