Preschool Teacher Assistant

Join our early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early childhood development, promote literacy and math skills, and ensure a positive classroom experience for every child. Responsibilities
Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation, ensuring lessons align with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks. Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques. Help prepare teaching materials, educational resources, and classroom setups to facilitate engaging learning experiences. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and proper conduct at all times. Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and needs. Contribute to the development of lesson plans focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall curriculum development tailored to preschool age groups.

Experience
Previous classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with early childhood education principles such as childhood development theories and behavior management strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Knowledge of curriculum development tools and lesson planning techniques for preschool-aged children. Hands-on experience in toddler care or working within Montessori or similar educational approaches is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and children. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom activities efficiently while fostering a positive learning environment. Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
