preschool teacher or Teacher assistant position ( full / part time available )

Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Preschool Teachers for both part-time and full-time opportunities to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development, literacy, and social skills. Experience with children, classroom management, and curriculum development are essential to creating engaging learning experiences tailored to young learners. This role offers a rewarding chance to influence the growth and education of preschoolers in a supportive setting.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other curricula.
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
  • Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress, including standardized testing when applicable.
  • Engage children in activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall cognitive development.
  • Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and address individual needs effectively.
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols in accordance with childcare regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with childhood development best practices.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required
  • Minimum 24 ECE units for teacher position. 12 ECE units for assistant.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education is advantageous.
  • Experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; Reggio Emilia and project based experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Pay: $20.50 - $26.00 per hour
