Summer Travel Nanny – June through August 2026 | SF Bay Area Family

A private SF Bay Area family is seeking a warm, experienced, and highly capable Summer Travel Nanny for a June through August 2026 engagement. We have three children under four years old and are looking for someone who brings both a nurturing presence and the organizational confidence to thrive in a dynamic household – and on the road.

Position overview

This is a three-month seasonal position running June through August 2026, with approximately four weeks of international travel to Europe concentrated in July. While in the Bay Area, the schedule is weekday-based with long shifts beginning around 6 am. During travel weeks, hours are more flexible, with days off provided throughout. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Candidates with bilingual proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish, early childhood education credentials, or governess experience are especially encouraged to apply – extension of the role beyond August would be considered for the right fit.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care that supports independence, emotional development, and secure attachment
• Engage children with age-appropriate activities, enrichment, and outdoor exploration – at home and while traveling
• Coordinate closely with parents and other caregivers to ensure consistency of routines and communication
• Manage children's logistics: schedules, playdates, nutrition, and supplies
• Support the family with packing, scheduling, and general coordination during travel weeks
• Provide overnight and sole-charge coverage as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience traveling domestically and internationally with a family
• Background in overnight care, sole charge, or ROTA-style roles
• US citizenship (for easier travel documentation)
• Active Global Entry and TSA PreCheck enrollment
• Valid driver's license and comfortable driving in a city environment
• Comfortable with pets
• Excellent references from previous childcare positions
• CPR and first aid certified, or willing to obtain prior to start date
• Reliable, highly organized, proactive, and calm under the pressures of travel
