Duties

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing lesson plans across various subjects, including literacy, math, and early childhood education
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or autism, through individualized attention and tailored activities
• Help manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
• Engage students in tutoring, mentoring, and interactive activities that promote childhood development and social skills
• Support classroom organization by proofreading educational materials, preparing supplies, and maintaining a tidy learning space
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback on their development in areas such as literacy education and classroom management
• Foster effective communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive educational atmosphere

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of special education practices, Montessori methods, or private school environments is a plus
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous
• Basic proofreading skills for educational materials and documentation
• Passion for tutoring, mentoring, and supporting children’s academic growth
• Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility to support school schedules
