Duties
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing lesson plans across various subjects, including literacy, math, and early childhood education
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or autism, through individualized attention and tailored activities
- Help manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Engage students in tutoring, mentoring, and interactive activities that promote childhood development and social skills
- Support classroom organization by proofreading educational materials, preparing supplies, and maintaining a tidy learning space
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback on their development in areas such as literacy education and classroom management
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure a supportive educational atmosphere
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices, Montessori methods, or private school environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Basic proofreading skills for educational materials and documentation
- Passion for tutoring, mentoring, and supporting children’s academic growth
- Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility to support school schedules
