Primary responsibilities of a lead teacher at our school include:

-writing engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.

-managing a small classroom with the help of a full time assistant teacher.

-communicating efficiently and effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff.

-make learning fun and exciting.

We use a blended methods model of teaching and are heavily influenced by the Reggio and Montessori philosophies.

In order to be considered highly qualified for this position, candidates must:

-have experience teaching in a classroom.

-understand child development and principles.

-be willing to complete 15 hours of online training per year.

-be open minded and teachable.

-believe in gentle leadership of a classroom.
