Press Brake Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating various types of machinery, including press brake machines. This role is crucial in ensuring the precision and quality of our sheet metal fabrication processes. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to produce high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and production schedules.

Duties

  • Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machine setup and tooling requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and assist in the setup of tooling for various projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), electrical discharge machining, plasma cutting, stamping presses, and welding is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to measurements and material requirements.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading with an understanding of tooling setups for various machinery.
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting production deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
