Purpose
The purpose of the Preventative Maintenance Technician is to ensure the reliable operation of equipment and systems by performing scheduled inspections, repairs, and replacements.

The Preventative Maintenance Technician conducts routine inspections and services equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Maintenance activities are accurately documented, potential issues are identified, and necessary repairs are recommended. Collaborates with team members to improve maintenance procedures and minimize downtime.
Essential Functions:
1. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues.
2. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, calibration, and adjustments.
3. Diagnose and resolve problems with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, performing minor repairs and
adjustments as needed.
4. Regularly check equipment for wear, damage, or potential issues, using schematics, technical drawings, and visual inspections.
5. Replace worn or damaged components to prevent equipment failure.
6. Monitor equipment performance and address any abnormalities.
7. Accurately complete and document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment data in logs.
8. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute maintenance schedules.
9. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during maintenance tasks.
10. Safe handling of chemicals related to the maintenance of equipment throughout the plant. This includes oil, grease, coolant, cleaners, and any other chemicals regularly required for the operation of equipment.
11. Provide daily updates on all activities to the direct manager via email.
12. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
1. Education:
a. High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
b. Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
2. Experience:
a. 1-2 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility preferred.
b. 1-2 years of experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment with a track record of improvements.
c. 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts and man-lifts.
d. Basic computer skills, familiarity with email platforms, and the ability to compose, send, and manage messages effectively.
3. Licences / Certifications:
a. N/A
4. Language:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Bi-Lingual – Spanish is a plus
