Pricing Actuarial Analyst Senior

As a senior pricing actuarial analyst, you'll develop quarterly estimates of rates needed for Progressive’s Personal Lines Property and umbrella products. In this role, you’ll develop innovative methods to estimate trends, credibility, profit targets, and other pricing science topics. You’ll help pricing analysts within the department to understand the indication methods and drivers. Additionally, you’ll provide actuarial expertise to rate filing exhibits and objection response support objection responses, as well as communicate rate adequacy and drivers to key collaborators.

Must-have qualifications
  • A minimum of eight years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of seven years of analytical work experience
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of five years analytical work experience.
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation or higher

Preferred skills
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with rate indications and successful completion of CAS Exam 5
  • Strong prioritization skills, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with the ability to draw conclusions and recommend solutions, while being able to explain complex analytical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working with SQL, VBA, and Python, and advanced knowledge of Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and macros).


Compensation
  • $98,400 - $131,200 / year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 30% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance.
