Pricing Executive – Freight Forwarding

Job Summary

The Pricing Executive is responsible for preparing competitive and profitable freight rates across ocean, air, and multimodal services. The role involves close coordination with carriers, overseas agents, sales, and operations teams to support business growth while ensuring margin control and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue spot and contract quotations for FCL, LCL, Air Freight, and multimodal shipments.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, transporters, and overseas agents to obtain competitive buy rates.
• Maintain and regularly update rate sheets, tariffs, and surcharge matrices (BAF, CAF, PSS, IMO, ISPS, etc.).
• Analyze market trends, freight fluctuations, and competitor pricing to ensure competitive positioning.
• Coordinate with the sales team to support tenders, RFQs, and customer negotiations.
• Ensure quotations comply with operational feasibility, transit time commitments, and trade regulations.
• Monitor profitability by tracking buy vs sell rates, ensuring target margins are achieved.
• Support key account pricing and long-term contract negotiations.
• Work closely with operations to resolve pricing discrepancies, disputes, and post-shipment adjustments.
• Maintain accurate pricing records in the ERP / TMS / CRM system.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of international freight forwarding and shipping operations.
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS, DG cargo, OOG, reefer, and project cargo pricing.
• Excellent negotiation skills with vendors and carriers.
• Strong analytical and cost-calculation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in pricing / rate procurement within a freight forwarding or shipping company.
• Hands-on experience with FCL/LCL/Air pricing and trade lanes.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
