Pricipal Security Advisor

Responsible for the security management framework and for the implementation of measures to protect the company property, people, network, systems, software and data/information. The role coordinates identification of risks and monitors and reports on compliance with security policies and procedures.

Key accountabilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the security framework to effectively manage enterprise security risks in relation to people, physical resources, IT and information

• Continue development and management of the organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS)

• Ensure compliance to current Kuwait Government Cyber Security Policy

• Communicate cyber and information security policies, controls and facilitate awareness campaigns and training in support of whole-of-government programs to all staffs and suppliers

• Undertake investigations and report on security breaches and events. This includes guiding the refinement of practices and processes and reduce the likelihood and impact of security related incidents

• Perform regular security reviews to identify ICT vulnerabilities and coordinate remedial action

• Manage communication and reporting on security to compliance bodies and to inform stakeholder benefits statements

• Developing and maintaining an active culture of security awareness within the organisation

• Maintaining currency and applicability of subject matter knowledge and the relevant legislative, statutory and policy requirements in order to provide high quality, timely advice within a diverse, dynamic environment

• Engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, providing information and results that give confidence in the standards and maturity of security management to meet operational requirements

Preferred Experience

• 15 years of Security related experience
• 5 years in Enterprise or Critical National Infrastructure Risk Management
• Oil & Gas experience
• Threat & Risk Management
• Crisis Management Planning
• Emergency Preparedness

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 48 months

Pay: KD2,000.000 - KD4,500.000 per month

Experience:

• Security: 10 years (Preferred)
• Enterprise or Critical National Infrastructure: 5 years (Preferred)
• Oil & Gas: 5 years (Preferred)
• Risk Management: 5 years (Preferred)
