Primary Home Teacher

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Primary Home Teacher who can take overall responsibility for a class of students in the primary section. The teacher will act as the main link between the child, subject teachers, and parents, while ensuring the holistic academic and personal development of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the class in-charge (home teacher), responsible for the well-being, discipline, and academic progress of the assigned class.
• Plan and teach core subjects (e.g., English, Social Studies, Science, or Mathematics depending on school’s allocation).
• Coordinate with subject teachers to ensure curriculum coverage and balanced workload for students.
• Conduct regular classroom management and maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and progress.
• Maintain attendance, progress records, and report cards.
• Mentor students in building confidence, character, and social skills.
• Assist in organizing school assemblies, events, and co-curricular activities for class participation.
• Collaborate with administration to implement school policies and educational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education / English / Sciences or related field (B.Ed. preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in primary classes is strongly preferred.
• Strong command over English (spoken and written).
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and independent learning in students.
