Job Title: Primary EVS Teacher (Grades I–V)

Job Summary

The Primary EVS Teacher will be responsible for introducing young learners to the fundamentals of the environment, nature, society, and sustainability. The teacher will employ creative, hands-on, and activity-based learning approaches to foster curiosity and environmental awareness among students in classes I to V.​

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Environmental Studies lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Use storytelling, visual aids, models, and field-based experiences to explain basic environmental and social science concepts.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and worksheets suitable for young learners’ comprehension levels.
• Assess student progress through classwork, oral participation, and formative assessments.
• Organize eco-friendly classroom activities, nature walks, and environmental awareness projects.
• Maintain classroom discipline, ensuring an inclusive and joyful learning environment.
• Coordinate with co-teachers, subject heads, and parents for student progress and holistic learning.
• Participate in school assemblies, eco-club activities, and relevant celebrations such as Environment Day.
• Record attendance, maintain student performance data, and prepare periodic progress reports.​

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Education, or a related field.
• D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. with specialization in primary education is mandatory.
• Knowledge of NCERT or state-level EVS curriculum for Grades I–V.
• Excellent command of English and/or bilingual teaching ability, as required.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make lessons interactive through the use of real-life examples, smart classroom tools, and experiential learning methods.
• Enthusiasm for working with young children and promoting environmental responsibility.​

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience as a Primary EVS or Science teacher preferred.
• Freshers with a passion for teaching and relevant qualifications may also apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹9,000.92 - ₹15,000.14 per month
