Primary School Teacher – Mathematics & EVS (Grade 1)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Primary School Teacher to teach Mathematics and Environmental Studies (EVS) to students of Grade 1. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child-centered pedagogy, the ability to simplify concepts, and a creative approach to make learning joyful and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:Academic:

• Teach basic Mathematics concepts such as numbers, addition, subtraction, shapes, measurement, and patterns.
• Teach Environmental Studies (EVS), introducing children to their surroundings, nature, family, school, animals, plants, safety, hygiene, and basic science in everyday life.
• Prepare and implement daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and grade-level expectations.
• Use storytelling, visual aids, activities, and play-based learning to simplify abstract ideas.
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to evaluate and track student progress.

Classroom Management:

• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Encourage curiosity, participation, and questioning in the classroom.
• Manage behavior with patience, positive reinforcement, and age-appropriate strategies.

Administrative & Communication:

• Maintain proper records of attendance, assessments, and student portfolios.
• Collaborate with other subject teachers and coordinators for interdisciplinary learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• D.El.Ed. / B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
• Strong command over English and/or the medium of instruction.
• Familiarity with child development principles and early childhood education practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
