Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Programs: Residential Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Position Overview

Stone Healing Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled AMFT or LMFT to provide trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health treatment to adults in our Residential (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. The therapist will provide individual therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and clinical documentation while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to support clients with complex mental health presentations including trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring conditions.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Services

  • Provide individual therapy sessions to clients in RTC, PHP, and IOP levels of care.
  • Facilitate process groups, psychoeducational groups, and experiential groups.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and clinical evaluations.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment when clinically indicated.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and other integrative approaches.

Treatment Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatry, case management, and program staff.
  • Participate in weekly clinical team meetings and case consultations.
  • Coordinate care with outside providers, family members, and referral sources when appropriate.
  • Support clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention strategies.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) including:
  • Biopsychosocial assessments
  • Treatment plans and treatment plan reviews
  • Progress notes (individual and group)
  • Discharge summaries
  • Ensure documentation meets Joint Commission, insurance, and state regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and document clinical outcome measures (PHQ-9, GAD-7, etc.) as required.

Program Participation

  • Contribute to the development of therapeutic programming and group curriculum.
  • Support a safe, structured, and therapeutic treatment environment.
  • Participate in staff trainings, supervision, and professional development opportunities.

QualificationsEducation

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or related field

Licensure

  • AMFT registered with the California BBS and working toward licensure

or

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in good standing with the California BBS

Experience

Preferred experience in:

  • Residential treatment
  • PHP or IOP programs
  • Trauma-informed therapy
  • Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders

Pay: $39.00 - $50.00 per hour
