Manages an organized and professional classroom that is conducive to learning and the development of the whole child:
Writing Periodical report cards.
Making sure that his/her class list, schedule, bus list and list of books are hung up.
Following up attendance record.
Checking his/her classroom furniture and equipment.
Reading and monitoring the implementation of the school disciplinary code.
Updating supervisors and administration with student information.
Keeping track of the academic progress of each student.
Reporting any medical condition a student has and informing other subject Teachers as well as the stage principal / Head Teacher.
Observes and documents each student’s academic, physical, social, and
emotional development.
Plans, documents, and carries out assigned lessons with individual learners
and small groups.
Recognizes the needs of learners and offers support as required.
Models the established limits, expectations, and routines of the classroom.
Maintains the physical environment of the classroom in a clean, safe and
organized manner.
Handles stressful situations with patience, understanding, and flexibility.
Responsible for all teaching duties.
Accompanies the class on field trips to ensure all the learners are safe and
engaged during the trip.
Monitors learners in a variety of settings to provide a safe and positive
learning environment.
Responsible for inside and outside classroom display.
Responsible for taking learners from one activity to the other, alternating with the
Co-teacher.
Fosters a Cooperative And Respectful Partnership With Families
Answers all questions regarding learners’ school experiences
Handles all interactions with families with professionalism & promptness.
Attends parent meetings and interacts with them.
Works as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators to carry out the goals:
Attends, participates in, and contributes to activities and staff meetings.
Collaborates with colleagues to share experience and knowledge.
Attends morning, afternoon and break shifts as needed.
Attends and participates in morning lines.
Substituting absent teachers.
Continuous Intellectual And Professional Development
Observes the classrooms of colleagues when possible.
Welcomes observation and feedback from colleagues and other professionals in education and related fields.
Seeks out and attends workshops, seminars, and courses related to child development, education, and language acquisition.
Follows the policies and procedures of the school.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
