Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./M.Com with B.Ed. (M.Ed. preferred)
Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of teaching experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role (Vice Principal / Headmistress / Coordinator), preferably in a CBSE school
Job Purpose
The Principal is the academic and administrative head of the school, responsible for overall leadership, effective school management, academic excellence, staff supervision, student discipline, and maintaining compliance with board and government regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership
- Provide strong academic vision and ensure high standards of teaching and learning
- Implement and monitor curriculum as per board (CBSE/ICSE/State Board) guidelines
- Supervise lesson planning, assessments, examinations, and result analysis
- Promote innovative teaching methods and teacher development programs
Administration & Operations
- Manage day-to-day school operations efficiently
- Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and staff allocations
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and smooth school functioning
- Oversee school infrastructure, safety, and hygiene
Staff Management
- Recruit, guide, motivate, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff
- Conduct staff meetings, classroom observations, and performance reviews
- Arrange training, workshops, and professional development sessions
- Address staff grievances and maintain a positive work culture
Student Welfare & Discipline
- Ensure students’ academic progress, discipline, and well-being
- Handle student-related issues and disciplinary matters
- Encourage co-curricular and extracurricular activities
Parent & Community Relations
- Maintain strong communication with parents and address concerns
- Represent the school in meetings, events, and inspections
- Build a positive school image in the community
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with CBSE/ICSE/State Education Board norms
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation as required
- Coordinate with education authorities during audits and inspections
Skills & Competencies
