Come join the Intuit Data Exchange (IDX) team as part of the Intuit as a Principal Scientist. We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize the way the world does business. You will be deploying AI/GenAI solutions to simplify acquisition of data and documents from ‘000s of providers WW while maintaining trust. The structured data acquired is used in workflows from Personal Finance, Taxes and running businesses, thus powering prosperity around the world. Your job includes the following:

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• PhD/MS in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Theoretical/Computational Physics, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Solid knowledge of statistical techniques
• 3+ years as either a lead in a data science role or a management position in data science
• Strong communication skills and proven experience as an influencer at the executive level
• Hands-on programming experience in one or more of: ML, NLP, Statistics, or Optimization
• 6+ years’ experience manipulating large datasets and using databases (e.g. R, SQL, S-Plus, etc.)
• 6+ years’ experience with a general-purpose programming language (e.g. Python, Scala, etc.)

Strongly Preferred:

• PhD in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Theoretical/Computational Physics, or related field
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of: ML, NLP, Statistics, or Optimization
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with ML pipelines, processes, and design patterns
• Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance (e.g., I/O and memory tuning).
• Software engineering fundamentals: version control systems (i.e. Git, Github) and workflows, and ability to write production-ready code
• Proven track record of influencing business leaders to shape mission-critical projects
• Proven track record of leading teams to successful delivery of ML solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively contribute to technical teams and make presentations to a variety of technical and business personnel
