Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant Manager, Data & Insights
Seeking a Technical Project Manager who can lead Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Data Visualization teams, bringing a strong blend of technical expertise and robust project management capability.
Responsibilities
Project Management Skills (50% Focus)

• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams through full project lifecycles, using Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver BI and reporting projects on time and within budget.
• Expertise in project planning tools like Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project, including roadmap creation, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Strong stakeholder management, with experience translating business requirements into technical specs and communicating progress via dashboards or reports.
• Proficiency in defining KPIs, SLAs, and success metrics for BI projects, with hands-on budgeting and vendor coordination.
• Ability to mentor junior PMs and foster collaboration between engineering, data science, and business teams.

Technical Skills - Data Engineering (25% Focus)

• Hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, or AWS Glue for scalable data processing.
• Proficiency in SQL (advanced querying, optimization) and Python (Pandas, PySpark) for data transformation, ingestion from sources like APIs/databases, and ensuring data quality/governance.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS (Redshift, S3), GCP (BigQuery), or Azure Synapse for warehousing and orchestration.
• Experience implementing data pipelines with CI/CD practices and monitoring tools like Datadog or Prometheus.

Technical Skills - Data Visualization & BI (25% Focus)

• Advanced proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for creating interactive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics.
• Skill in designing data models (star/snowflake schemas) and DAX/MDX for performant visualizations that support business decision-making.
• Hands-on integration of visualization tools with data sources, including embedding dashboards in web apps or automating report distribution.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Experience in BI/PM roles with data engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving under ambiguity, with a product mindset for prioritizing features based on business impact.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Project Management:

• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery, planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Skilled in executive reporting and managing multi‑team programs
• Collaboration with engineering, analytics, QA, and business partners
• Experience managing onshore/offshore teams and vendors
• Roadmap creation, ROI analysis, and ability to assess data models/solutions
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity

Technical Contribution:

• Understanding of data warehousing, KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and semantic modeling
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data quality, and cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Hands-on SQL, Git familiarity,
• Basic technical familiarity with Python, and data architecture concepts
• Understanding of dashboard design, UX best practices, and data storytelling
• Awareness of modeling concepts like DAX/MDX
• DevOps exposure, awareness of AI/ML concepts
