Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Power BI Support Analyst
In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing and delivering high quality deliverables, and should be willing to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide L1/L2 support for SAP Business Objects (BO) reports, dashboards, universes, and schedules.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to report execution, scheduling, and distribution.
  • Monitor BO servers and job schedules to ensure timely data delivery.
  • Handle user access requests, incidents, and service tickets within defined SLAs.
  • Collaborate with business teams to analyze and resolve reporting/data issues.
  • Coordinate with backend/ETL/database teams for data-related troubleshooting.
  • Maintain support documentation and knowledge base for recurring issues.
  • Suggest improvements for system stability, performance, and process efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BE/B Tech/MCA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Universe Design, CMC).
  • Strong understanding of report scheduling, publication, and distribution.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for debugging report queries and data validation.
  • Knowledge of BO administration tasks (security, user/group management).
  • Familiarity with incident/change/problem management in a support environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI (reports, dashboards, data models, DAX, Power Query).
  • Experience with support projects (incident management, ticketing systems, SLAs).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting data issues.
  • Understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts.
  • Good analytical and communication skills to interact with business users.
  • Experience in Autosys and monitoring or reporting support tasks.
  • Provide L1/L2 support for Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data refresh issues, access errors, and performance concerns.
  • Handle user queries, access requests, and incident tickets related to Power BI.
  • Monitor scheduled report refreshes and ensure timely delivery of data.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand and resolve reporting issues.
  • Work closely with data engineers/ETL teams to fix backend data discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation of issues, solutions, and support processes.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest process or system improvements.
