Inviting applications for the role of Principal consultant SSRS, Power BI Engineer
We are inviting applications for the role of Reporting – SSRS & Power BI Engineer. In this role, you will lead the design, development, optimization, and support of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using SSRS and Power BI. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, performant, and scalable reporting platforms, while ensuring best practices around data modeling, security, automation, and DevOps.
Exposure to modern analytics, Power Platform integration, and Generative AI–driven insights (such as Microsoft Copilot or AI-assisted analytics) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
 Reporting & Analytics Development
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
Translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards, paginated reports, and analytical models.
 Data Modeling & Performance Optimization
Build and optimize semantic models, datasets, and reporting schemas.
Tune SQL queries, DAX expressions, and report performance for large-scale datasets.
 Advanced Visualization & Insights
Develop complex Power BI dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power Query.
Author advanced DAX calculations and implement best practices for reusable analytics.
Automate dataset refreshes and enable near real-time reporting where required.
 Integration & Data Sources
Integrate reports with multiple data sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Dataverse, and other enterprise systems.
Design secure data access and row-level security (RLS) models.
 CI/CD & Deployment Automation
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for report deployments and Power BI workspaces using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or TeamCity.
Support version control and release management for SSRS and Power BI assets.
 Monitoring, Support & Reliability
Monitor report usage, failures, and refresh issues.
Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and ensure SLA adherence.
Define standards for report governance, documentation, and lifecycle management.
 Process & Standards Definition
Define reporting development standards, best practices, and ALM processes.
Collaborate with architecture and governance teams to ensure compliance and scalability.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
 Relevant years of experience in enterprise reporting and BI engineering.
 Strong hands-on experience with SSRS, Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX.
 Solid SQL expertise with experience in performance tuning and data modeling.
 Experience deploying and managing reporting solutions using DevOps pipelines.
 Understanding of security concepts including data access, RLS, and auditing.
 Bonus Skills: Experience integrating Power BI with Power Platform or SharePoint.
 Bonus Skills: Exposure to Azure analytics services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
 Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM) or environment automation.
 Bonus Skills: Awareness of AI-enabled analytics or Copilot-assisted reporting.
