Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The Search team within Trust and Safety is recruiting web-savvy individuals to work with cutting-edge technologies to keep users safe and improve the quality of Google's Search results. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product, Legal and Operations teams to improve our processes for identifying and resolving policy and quality issues on Search. You are a tactical leader responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex projects with various groups of stakeholders. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop a long-term strategy and translate it into projects and deliverables for the team. Mentor and support the team to achieve its goals to prevent abuse issues. Lead projects and cross-functional initiatives within Google, interacting with executive stakeholders from Engineering, Legal, Product teams and more.
• Work across several Search features related to Multimodal input and output in GenAI space and find commonalities and abuse patterns. Lead projects to protect Google Search users from abuse, inappropriate content and fraud through investigation, prevention and removal of quality issues.
• Develop insights and recommendations to enable systematic solutions. Conduct actionable data analyses to identify new signals to improve search quality.
• Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule, including weekends as needed. Work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, upsetting topics or content.
