We're seeking a Principal Designer to revolutionize how we create and deliver advertising experiences through the innovative use of AI technologies. As a key leader in our Design organization, you'll be at the forefront of transforming traditional advertising workflows into intelligent, dynamic, and highly personalized customer journeys.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead the design strategy for next-generation advertising experiences that leverage AI/ML capabilities to enhance creative output and optimization
- Pioneer new workflows that dramatically accelerate the design-to-deployment pipeline while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Champion design systems that scale across multiple platforms and adapt intelligently to user behavior and context
- Partner with AI/ML teams to develop novel approaches for automated design generation and optimization
- Mentor and guide design teams in adopting AI-enhanced workflows and tools
- 10+ years of design experience
- Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design
- Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution
- Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, Keynote, and InVision
- Experience influencing cross-organizational design strategies and driving adoption of design systems
- Experience collaborating with AI/ML teams to integrate emerging technologies into design workflows
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in complex, ambiguous environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
